Harvest Gift Shop was opened in September
1995 next to the Kula Lodge in scenic upcountry Maui! It is is owned
by Jim Heid and Annie Cross. A cozy shop with plenty of ambience,
Upcountry Harvest specializes in shipping both fresh and preserved
Maui Protea . On its porch you
will find fresh cut protea and tropical flowers in colorful displays.
Inside is a aromatic blend of flowers, soaps, lotions and local crafts
to buy. Susan and Johann will eagerly help you with questions
on everything from our floral products to enjoying Maui! |

| Jim Heid, with his degree in horticultural from the
University of Calif at San Luis Obispo, has been growing protea for 26 years on Maui.
Recognized as a worldwide expert on protea flowers, he also runs the largest
protea farm in Hawaii, Kula Vista Protea which is 1/2 mile down the road from
the shop.
Annie Cross, originally from Ohio, moved to Maui in 1988 after 15 years in the Colorado mountains and has
turned her extensive experience in restaurant management and accounting into a well run retail and mail order operation.
Each day the select blooms are harvested to meet the highest standards of quality and freshness.
And with the views from the farm as seen below, we believe our flowers grow to reflect the beauty they are
surrounded with! |
